The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop ComboThe Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.
During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. However, unlike other models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to map out your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and recommend automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automatic cleaning functions at the push of one button. You can choose an overall clean which focuses on the elimination of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vac performs well on floors that are unfinished and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can remove pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filter system that prevents microscopic dust particles and near allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price tag.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors to keep track of the arrangement of your home and vSLAM to map the interior of your home. This allows it to avoid obstacles like stairs and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as create virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are just as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is even better. Its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. However, that's not a big deal for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it up takes only two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.
For the mopping device, I was amazed by its ability to remove the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or watch television without getting distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden in the background, as well as cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a vacuuming session that is cancelled due to an empty bin.
You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be removed frequently, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors with the first attempt. It is able to even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them with a damp cloth prior to sending the bob robot vacuum into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a brand new sensor system that can better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean up 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris and is easier to empty when needed.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as voice assistant that operates offline, which means you can manage it even when away from home. It also has a smart routing function that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large, rechargeable battery that lasts up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also very effective.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It is able to create detailed floor maps and identify various flooring types. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they can place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.
It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. This button will turn on the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it back to its base station. The center of the control panel is a circular menu that lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This creates a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also helps the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles and near obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for households with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, taking away 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
